Growth Acceleration Partners (GAP) has introduced its AI Impact Framework, a system devised to evaluate the concrete business outcomes generated by artificial intelligence. The framework aims to help organizations differentiate between routine AI-assisted tasks and those that significantly enhance productivity, foster automation, or develop reusable capabilities across teams.
The AI Impact Framework requires employees to substantiate AI-enabled work accomplished over the past six months. This evidence can include production code, custom AI agents, automated testing systems, delivery pipelines, large-scale migrations, internal tools, and reusable systems. Importantly, self-reported or hypothetical AI capabilities are excluded from evaluation.
The evaluation process within the framework involves multiple agents. An evaluator reviews the submitted evidence, an adversarial agent challenges any unsupported claims, and a referee assesses both perspectives before assigning a final score. Human managers and project leaders then validate these assessments, with disputed evaluations undergoing further review.
Participants are categorized into four AI maturity levels, ranging from limited AI integration to the ability to develop and operate AI agents, automated workflows, and systems that produce broad organizational impact. GAP also uses the framework internally to pinpoint capability gaps and craft personalized development plans for employees. The company noted that by July 2026, about 41% of its workforce had achieved Level 3, while roughly 48% were at Level 2.
The framework is designed to establish measurable baselines, identify developmental needs, and assist organizations in transitioning from basic AI adoption to more autonomous and impactful methods of operation. GAP’s initiative underscores the growing need for businesses to not only implement AI but also quantify its real-world benefits.
